Frenting, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Frenting website and services.

We collect only the information needed to provide Frenting's services.

This may include:

  • Listing details you choose to provide (such as photos, rules, and availability)
  • Booking and payment information
  • Communications related to your use of Frenting

We do not collect unnecessary personal information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your Frenting account
  • Enable private listings and bookings
  • Process payments and send confirmations
  • Communicate with you about your account or bookings
  • Improve and maintain the Frenting service

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Google Contacts Information (Optional)

If you choose to connect your Google account, Frenting may access your Google contacts on a read-only basis using Google's People API. This includes both the contacts you have saved and the "other contacts" that Google automatically saves from your interactions (for example, people you have emailed).

  • We only request access to contact names and email addresses for the purpose of helping you find and invite friends to use Frenting.
  • Frenting does not access Gmail messages, send email through your Google account, access calendars, or collect any other Google account information.
  • Contact information retrieved from Google is displayed temporarily to help you select contacts to invite. Frenting does not permanently store your Google contact list.
  • Only contacts you choose to invite may result in limited information being stored by Frenting, such as the invited email address.
  • You can disconnect Frenting from your Google account at any time through your Google Account permissions.

4. Location Information

  • If you choose to allow location access through your browser or device, Frenting may use location information to improve your experience, including displaying nearby listings, Circles, or map-based features. Location access is optional.
  • Listing locations may include address information provided by Owners. Frenting may generate approximate geographic coordinates from listing addresses to support search and mapping functionality.
  • We do not collect or store precise GPS tracking information about your ongoing movements.

5. How We Use Google User Data

Frenting's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

  • Google user data is used solely to provide and improve user-facing features within Frenting, including contact selection and invitation tools.
  • Frenting does not sell Google user data, use Google user data for advertising purposes, or transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide the requested functionality.
  • Frenting does not allow humans to read your Google user data unless: (i) we first obtain your consent to view specific data; (ii) it is necessary for security purposes or to comply with applicable law; or (iii) the data has been aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.

6. Third-Party Services

Frenting relies on third-party service providers to operate portions of the Platform, including:

  • Stripe for payment processing
  • Resend for transactional email delivery
  • Google APIs for optional contact import functionality
  • Hosting, database, analytics, security, and infrastructure providers

These providers may process information on our behalf subject to their own privacy policies and contractual obligations.

7. Data Retention

  • We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the safety and security of users.
  • Temporary Google contact import data is not retained after the contact selection process is completed.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Frenting may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to:

  • Maintain user sessions
  • Remember preferences
  • Improve performance and security
  • Analyze usage of the Platform

You may adjust browser settings to manage cookies, though some features may not function properly.

9. Payments

Payments are processed through third-party payment providers (such as Stripe). Frenting does not store full payment card details. Payment providers handle your payment information according to their own privacy policies.

10. Sharing Information

We only share information when necessary to provide the service, including:

  • With payment processors to complete transactions
  • With service providers who help us operate Frenting

We do not share your information for advertising or marketing purposes. Private listings are only visible to people you invite.

11. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

  • Update or correct your account information
  • Request deletion of your account
